The FEPS exhibition starts on Sunday, at the Cow Byre, Ruislip; and next Wednesday we have our Private Viewing Session for members and their family + friends. I hope to see a good turnout on Wednesday evening (there will be NO meeting at the Methodist Hall, next week).
2. We still have a few vacancies for stewards, including some later next week. Craig P will have the stewarding list at the Cow Byre on Wednesday night for you to sign up.
3. On Saturday May 20th join other FEPS members at the Rickmansworth Canal Festival. Meet up at the cafe near Bury Lake at 11:00am and car parking facilities [cost £3:00]). Please bear in mind that the whole of the Rickmansworth area will be very busy on the day. Members may like to go off to take various photos that appeal to them and then return to have lunch / snacks / drink, before deciding on possible other images that might be captured on site. You are very welcome to join in the fun!
5. a) AGM May 24th. Have your say about the Club and support your committee members. Next Season’s Set Subjects will be announced.
b) “It’s A Knockout” May 31st. Please send up to 6 images (in the usual pdi format) to Craig B, and include in the e-mail title “It’s A Knockout”. Please submit these as soon as possible for a fun evening where YOU will be the judge of what will win. Images submitted for this will not be precluded from future Competitions in Print or Projected format.
c) Projected Image of the Year June 7th. Images for this should be submitted in the usual way to Craig B no later than May 31st. Unlike the Print of the Year there is only one competition so submit both Colour and / or Mono images as you want. Max of 3 images, as usual.
d) Print Panel June 14th. Please note that the closing date for entries will be Wednesday May 31st. Justin will not only want your entry form but also your panel of 6 prints. You may submit more than one Panel.
e) Member’s Evening--Calendar Images June 21st. Just come along with prints of landscapes in LANDSCAPE FORMAT. Members will vote on their choices of suitable images but the Final decisions will be made by Ray and Craig B. This is because FEPS “piggy-backs” on the calendars which they use for their businesses. That way we can afford to run this.
f) Awards Evening and Social June 29th. Our Final meeting of the Season will be held at the Ruislip Conservative Hall, Ickenham Road, West Ruislip. It is about 700m beyond the Methodist Hall, near to West Ruislip Station. There will be a Buffet, Awards will be presented and it promises to be an enjoyable social evening.
